On the 6th October 2008, the Minister for Climate and Energy nominated Skive Municipality as one of the first 3 Energy Towns in Denmark, making Skive ambassador for climate-friendly ideas.

It is also the intention of the municipality to make an active effort to raise the awareness of climate change problems and thus promote the awareness of climate and energy issues, manipulate attitudes and ultimately help to change people's behaviour in favour of a more climate- and energy-friendly position.

It could be called "new concepts in old surroundings", and here on the Energy Town website we present the municipality endeavours within this field over the last 30 years, but we also introduce the current and future projects, which are part of many of the municipality activities.

Here you will find advice and hints for how - although on a small scale - you can make an active and not insignificant effort for a better climate through caution.
