The vision of the project is to create a platform through the Energy Fund Skive where Skive Municipality, its citizens and enterprises focus on sustainable energy and optimised energy use through learning, attitude influence, urban development, new housing concepts and commercial/business development.
The vision of the municipality for Climate and Energy is implemented through specific projects. To pursue this process, we work seriously to initiate a constructive and innovative cooperation through the establishment of a foundation or a partnership agreement.
This foundation/partnership will be responsible for the implementation of this ambitious project, including provision of the necessary means to run the whole process and to realise the various projects to the benefit of the entire region through a collaborative effort between the municipality, local businesses and organisations. Active fundraising is a prerequisite in the effort to always be prepared for the challenges to be met.
Based on the strategy and action plan, it is the task of the foundation to prioritise and evaluate the projects and tasks that must be implemented within a timeframe of 20 years – to begin with. This applies to both the current ability to carry out processes and projects and to develop new ideas and approaches when different and new R & D results make it possible and necessary to implement projects in a more long-term perspective.
Finally, the foundation must ensure the quality its work in close agreement with a Climate and Energy Strategy and the municipality plan. The effort will thus require great professionalism and the many different competences within various forms of energy and their uses.
Therefore it is also important that the foundation establish and elaborate a network of cooperation relations consisting of different enterprises and stakeholders to actively participate in the many and complex issues, it involves to implement the entire, ambitious Climate and Energy Strategy in Skive Municipality.
The foundation is to be embedded in the municipality, but the extent is not yet defined. It is also our intention that the foundation will take active part in making the town of Skive a key player in relation to the effort of the Central Denmark Region in the area of energy and CO2 reduction.
